Beit Midrash for Women: Yael Shachak will be resuming her Wednesday class at the home of Faye Newman, 7916 Stanford, at 12:45 pm, Aug. 29th. They will be learning about the Tanaim from the time of the "Churban" of the second temple. All are welcome to attend.
WOMEN'S DIVISION
OPEN MEETING AND PETAL PARTY: First open meeting will be Sunday, August 26th, 1-3 pm, at Young Israel.
ROSH HASHANAH GREETINGS: This year the Women's Division will be making a booklet of your Rosh Hashanah greetings. A single name or family name is only $5 and a family name with all of your children's names is only $10. Please submit your names and payment made to the Women's Division by September 10th.
KOL HaNA'ARIM TALIT 2012, 5773: The Talit, sponsored by the Young Israel Women’s Division, is a special part of Simchat Torah services that is held over the heads of the children during their Aliyah. To have your child’s or grandchild’s name added to the talit this year please send the name(s) in writing to Bonnie Drazen at bonteach5@yahoo.com or drop them in the mail along with payment of $18 per name to 8135 Amherst (63130). ST LOUIS YACHAD: Yachad/NJCD is pleased to announce the formation of a Yachad chapter in St. Louis for individuals over the age of 8. Yachad is dedicated to addressing the needs of all individuals with disabilities and facilitating their inclusion in the Jewish community. We plan to meet twice a month for social-recreational inclusive activities to help foster friendship among our members and their peers, as well as to develop a strong connection to their Jewish heritage and roots. YACHAD BIRTHRIGHT TRIP: An amazing opportunity is available for individuals with special needs ages 18-25 who have never been on a formal educational trip to Israel before.
