SHABBAT AFTERNOON ONEG: At the Possick home, 7925 Delmar, at 6:30pm. The guest speaker will be Mr Lior Shtul who served as the mayor of the town of Eli for 12 years. Today Lior is the CEO of the Bnei David institutes in which 500 students study. 23 years after its inception, Bnei David has over 2,500 alumni, nearly 50% of whom have served as officers in combat units and over 25% served in elite commando units. He will be speaking about the Pre Army Mechinot revolution and its impact on the Israeli society.

MAY 27–29 – RABBI SHLOMO RISKIN - . Torah MiTzion Kollel and Young Israel will be hosting Scholar-In-Residence, Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, of Efrat & Ohr Torah Stone Institutions. There will be an Oneg Shabbat at the Fendelman home, 8158 Amherst, at 9:45pm. Rabbi Riskin will be giving the Shabbat morning Drasha and the pre-mincha shiur. A Melave Malka will be held at the Koshner home, 7941 Gannon, at 9:45 pm.
Sunday Night Community Lecture: Sunday May 29th at Young Israel, 7:30 pm. Rabbi Riskin will be the keynote speaker: "Modern Orthodoxy and Religious Zionism: Challenges and Opportunities," followed by a panel discussion with the shlichim from the Ohr Torah Stone's Straus Amiel Institute

NEW MEDICINE GEMACH: We are pleased to announce that there is now a medicine gemach in place with the Walgreens at McKnight and Delmar. Meaning that if you need medicine on Shabbat you can get it and the gemach will pay for it. We request that during the first week afterwards, the gemach is reimbursed so it is ready for the next Shabbat.

TRANSPLANT SCREENING: Please join us and help save a life on Lag B'Omer, Sunday, May 22, from 10 am to noon, as NCSY will provide a Bone Marrow Transplant screening and information drive at Nusach Hari Bnai Zion. The NCSYers, with direction from the Gift Of Life Bone Marrow Foundation, will distribute information and coordinate the screening, which is a simple gum swab test. You can help to fulfill a tremendous need for lifesaving bone marrow in our own community and save a life. JEWISH UNITY LIVE: Sunday May 22nd, 7:00 pm at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel. Guest speaker will be Rabbi Yechiel Spero, author of Artscroll’s “Touched by a Story” series, who will speak on "Islam, Israel and the Unwavering Jewish Soul." The event will also feature an exciting video presentation and a Dairy Ice Cream Dream Buffet. Cost is $25/adult and $18/student. There will be a Mincha minyan at 6:45 pm.
